By booking a vehicle, interacting with our website, or using any of our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

The Checker Cab, LLC provides event transportation and photo-op rental services using authentic vintage New York City Checker Cabs. Services may include transportation, photography sessions, event staging, and related support depending on the package selected.

2. BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS

All bookings require 100% upfront payment to secure the vehicle, driver, and event date.
Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
A booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received and processed.

3. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

We offer a flexible, event-friendly cancellation structure:

180 days (6 months) or more before the event: 100% refund
90–179 days before the event: 75% refund
Under 90 days before the event: Non-refundable

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

4. SERVICE GUARANTEE

Your booking includes:

A professional driver
Vehicle arrival 10–15 minutes early
Unlimited photo and video time
All fees, tolls, and fuel
Coordination with event planners or photographers
Assistance with staging, props, lighting, and vehicle positioning

We maintain our vehicles carefully, but due to the authentic vintage nature of our fleet, unexpected delays or mechanical issues may occur. If The Checker Cab, LLC is unable to provide the booked service due to a verified company issue, you will receive either:

A full refund, or
A rescheduled date (subject to availability)

5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients agree to:

Provide accurate event details, addresses, and timelines.
Ensure pickup/drop-off locations comply with legal parking and safety requirements.
Notify the company promptly of any schedule adjustments.
Avoid smoking or consuming food inside the vehicle unless pre-approved.
Assume responsibility for any property damage caused by the client, guests, or third-party vendors.

6. DRIVER SAFETY & AUTHORITY

Drivers have final discretion over:

Legal loading and parking zones
Unsafe road or weather conditions
Any positioning or movement of the vehicle during photos
This is to ensure safety, compliance with NYC regulations, and preservation of vintage vehicles.

7. LATE ARRIVAL POLICY

If a delay is caused by a verified company error, lost time will be:

Refunded, or
Added to the service duration

Delays due to traffic, police activity, road closures, or other external factors do not qualify for refunds.

8. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

The Checker Cab, LLC is fully insured.
However, we are not liable for:

Lost or damaged personal belongings
Delays caused by third parties (venues, traffic, city restrictions, etc.)
Events outside our control including weather, emergencies, or force majeure

9. MEDIA USAGE

By booking with us, you grant The Checker Cab, LLC permission to use non-private event photos or videos featuring our vehicles for marketing purposes unless requested otherwise in writing prior to the event.

10. WEBSITE USAGE

Users agree not to:

Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
Copy or misuse website content
Use the website for fraudulent or illegal activities

11. CHANGES TO TERMS
